Jeannie's New Eyes

(click on photos to see larger images)

3 hours after the surgery. Trying to focus on close objects is rather difficult. Problem is my old glasses don't work any more.

Like my cool glasses? It seems too light even in the house. Time to retreat to my bedroom cave with my tea and books on tape.

Don't you just want to kiss me? I can still smell the burning flesh (no joke!)

The shields taped to my face are to keep me from damaging my new eyes when I'm sleeping.

The next morning talking to my mom who called to see how the surgery went.

3 days later. Can hardly even tell that a laser literally fried a few microns of my corneas right off.

Only a slight bit of redness in the right eye... where they had to take a little more off... no extra charge.

Wow, I can actually see the finches catching the flying ants in mid air as the ants hatch after our first rain.
