Well to the west on the ridge looking back at the gloomy, rainy conditions blowing through the launch area.

After getting spit on by some rain it cleared up nicely. The ocean however was looking pretty windy with lots of whitecaps.

After letting that squall blow through at launch I headed back there.

Here you can just see Kurt plastered to the hill in 35 mph winds unable to move. I really felt sorry for the guy.

Arriving at the river mouth.

Goat from right around 3,000 feet.

Lost nearly 2,000 feet (quartering upwind) just getting from Goat to this face overlooking Wrights Beach. Had to crab and flying flat out in the strong, horizontal wind between Goat and here.

Looking south towards Bodega Bay.

Looks pretty nice, doesn't it? But just out of the frame I could see what looked like another squall coming. After seeing that I was about to get boxed in with rain, I flew back to Goat and landed on the beach.
