After going
back to Funston for my camera, I returned to the lifty area south
of Westlake. Here I'm approaching Shelter Cove.
Although
you can't see them, there were about 75 surfers all hanging out
in the water below. To the right is San Pedro Mountain and the Devil's
Slide area. Through the gap you can see parts of Half Moon Bay.

Looking
down on Pacific Heights Blvd and San Pedro Rock.
Half
Moon Bay. Somewhere in this photo is an orange paraglider but it
was too small to show up in the picture.
Looking back
towards Pacifica, the Pier and Westlake in the distance. Route 1
is off to the right. Now I have to make it back into a quartering
headwind.

Arriving
at the first of the cliffs, approaching Mussel Rock and Westlake.
Back at launch.
Only the Atos didn't want to come down.
Hanging
out over the parking lot, not looking forward to the top landing
with it blowing 25 at launch.
The
north end of Funston.
Safe and sound
back in the set up area after a rather bumpy approach down through
the rotor.
In the distance
you can see the Shelter Cove area with San Pedro Rock just over
the top of the king post of the glider in the foreground.

Can you spot
the skyed out Swift over the north end of Funston?
It was a lifty
day to be sure. Two of the Funston locals flew to Half Moon Bay.
