Actually, I took this picture while hooked in, feet in the straps, sheeted in and fully planing!

No, not kind of planing. I mean going really fast. To date this run was the lightest wind I've ever planed in. My Kestral wind meter read 8 mph... in the puffs I was getting going in. When this photo was taken, the wind was even lighter. Hard to believe but just look at that water!

Here's another picture I took about 30 seconds later. Still think I was standing dead in the water? No way!

With recent advancements in super wide and lightweight boards, huge sails and enormous fins, a whole new area of windsurfing has opened up.
